We mourn to our Palestinian people, and to the local and international press community, the heroic martyr Hassan Eslayeh, who was killed in yet another crime added to the Zionist occupation’s dark record assassinated in cold blood while receiving treatment at Nasser Hospital for injuries he sustained in a prior Zionist strike that targeted the journalists tent in Khan Younis.
• We affirm that targeting journalists will never silence the voice of truth or intimidate the knights of word and image, who continue to relay our people’s just narrative to the world and expose the occupation’s ongoing atrocities through their coverage.
• We call on the international community, including all UN bodies and press and human rights institutions, to uphold their legal and moral responsibilities and take urgent action to stop the occupation’s crimes against Palestinian journalists.
We demand imposing a punitive sanctions on this criminal entity and its murderous leaders, and an end to all forms of political and media relations with it, as it constitutes a threat to press freedom and to all of humanity.
